Company Knowledge is a feature in ChatGPT that allow users to integrate ChatGPT with internal tools through connectors. This enables users to search for and gather insights from organisational data without leaving the chat interface.

Currently, 5 connectors are available to ChatGPT Enterprise users at Mediacorp – Outlook Calendar, Outlook Email, SharePoint, Teams, and Slack.

How to Enable Connectors in Company Knowledge

Note: For the Slack Connector, you must first apply for an iProfile licence before you can access it in ChatGPT Enterprise. Please refer to this guide for a step-by-step tutorial on applying for this license.

Method 1: Through settings
  1. Go to “Settings” and select “Apps & Connectors”.
  1. Select the application you would like to connect and click “Connect”
  1. Complete the authentication procedures. You will be notified once the connection is completed. To disable a connector, return to “Settings”, go to “Apps & Connectors” and choose “Disconnect”.
  1. The connector will appear under the drop-down menu (click “Company knowledge” to access) in the chat interface. You may turn connectors on or off depending on your needs.
Method 2: Through the query bar

1. In the query bar, click on the “Company knowledge” button, then click on the connector you would like to connect

2. Complete the authentication procedures. You will be notified once the connection is completed. To disable a connector, return to “Settings”, go to “Apps & Connectors” and choose “Disconnect”.

3. The connector will appear under the drop-down menu (click “+” –> “Use Connectors” –> Sources) in the chat interface

How to Use Connectors

  1. In the chat interface, click “Company knowledge”
  1. Select the connected sources to use. You may select more than one connector to fetch information from the relevant channels. If the connector is not needed, you may de-select accordingly.

*Note: If you connected a data source in Step 2, turning it off will not fully disable it. During a conversation, ChatGPT may automatically switch it back on if it determines that accessing relevant information from that source would improve the response. To stop a connector from being reactivated, you can disable it in Settings (see Step 3).

  1. Write a prompt, including details such as folder names, file titles, or dates for precision in your instruction. Examples include:
Connector(s) to use Example prompt
Outlook Email  Retrieve the latest email update from the vendor ‘ABC Company’ and draft a potential reply
Outlook Calendar  Schedule a task reminder for me in chat to prepare notes for meeting with ‘ABC Company’ 2 days prior to the event
SharePoint Summarise the ‘August Meeting Notes’ file located in the ‘Monthly Meetings’ folder under the ‘Creative Elements’ project folder
Teams List the action items mentioned in the ‘Product Launch Discussion’ chat thread from last Friday
SlackFind and summarise the latest discussion in the #marketing-campaign-ideas channel, highlighting the proposed strategies for Q1 2026.
